Detalles del producto

The donut production line RMT-L4F24SCX is a complete yeast donut manufacturing system producing 2,400 to 9,600 pieces per hour. It integrates dual proofers, a 96 litre conveyor fryer and front and rear conveyor belts into a continuous process — the equipment specification for factory-scale yeast donut production rather than batch frying.

Yeast Donuts and Cake Donuts Need Different Equipment

Cake donuts use a pourable batter extruded directly into hot oil — one machine handles forming and frying. Yeast donuts use a raised dough that must be sheeted, cut, and proofed before frying. That process requires separate equipment at each stage, which is why a yeast donut production line looks fundamentally different from a cake donut machine.

The trade-off is product character. Yeast donuts have the light, airy, pull-apart texture associated with classic glazed donuts. Cake donuts are denser and more crumbly. Most large donut brands run yeast production for their core range.

Standalone Donut Fryers

R&M also supplies conveyor donut fryers as individual units for operations building a line incrementally or replacing existing equipment:

Modelo Oil capacity Potencia Peso
RMT-DZZ96 96 L 10 kW / 380 V 70 kg
RMT-DZZ36 36 L 6 kW / 220 V 50 kg
RMT-DZZ29 29 L 6 kW / 220 V 38 kg
RMT-DSZ25 25 L 3 kW / 220 V 25 kg

Donut Fillers for Cream and Jam Products

Filled donuts command higher retail prices than plain. R&M supplies three filler formats:

Modelo Tipo Hopper Output size Peso
RM-SD02 Hand-cranked filler 9 L 30–50 mm ball / 50–120 mm ring or mochi 20 kg
RMT-DD02 (electric) Electric filler, 50 W 9 L 30–50 mm ball / 50–120 mm ring or mochi 25 kg
RMT-DD02 (manual) Manual filler 3 L 50–70 mm donut, 35 mm ring mold 1 kg

The hand-cranked and electric fillers include three shape molds and three-gear thickness adjustment. The compact manual filler is a low-cost option for shops filling small batches by hand.

Planning a Donut Factory Layout

A complete donut production line occupies roughly 4 metres of length plus clearance at each end for operator access and product handling. Key planning considerations:

  • Power supply — 380 V three-phase at 10 kW for the main line
  • Extraction — commercial-grade ventilation over the fryer section
  • Oil handling — 96 L capacity requires a filtration and disposal process
  • Proofing space — two proofer units at 2300 × 875 mm each
  • Cooling and finishing — allow bench or conveyor space downstream of the fryer for glazing and cooling

Preguntas frecuentes

What equipment is needed to start a donut shop?

At the smallest scale: a donut fryer, a batter or dough mixer, and a display case. For yeast donut production add a sheeter, cutter and proofer. For filled products add a filler. R&M can specify a package to match your product range and target output.

What is the difference between yeast donut and cake donut production?

Cake donuts are extruded from pourable batter directly into oil, requiring one machine. Yeast donuts require dough mixing, sheeting, cutting, proofing and then frying — a multi-stage line. Yeast donuts have a lighter, airier texture; cake donuts are denser.

How much space does a donut production line require?

The RMT-L4F24SCX line measures 3,875 mm in length. Add clearance at both ends for loading and collection, plus space for the two proofer units at 2300 × 875 mm each. Plan for approximately 15–20 m² total working area.

Can I buy production line machines individually?

Yes. Conveyor fryers (25 L to 96 L), fillers and proofers are all available as standalone equipment. Many operations build a line in stages as volume grows rather than committing to the full system upfront.

What is the total cost of a donut production line?

Cost depends on configuration — whether you need the full line or individual stages, output requirement, and any customisation. Contact us with your target production volume and product range for a detailed quotation.
