How to Choose a Bakery.html Display Case

Every bakery display case in the R&M range shares the same core: a commercial refrigerated display cabinet holding the 2–10°C range (or 2–8°C for the economy series), fan cooling, and a brand compressor. The choice between series comes down to four questions.

1. Where does the case sit — on the floor, on a counter, or freestanding?

Counter-height floor cases (1,200mm): RMXK, RMZJ, RMQKY, RMQKZ, GD-RC. The standard display height for a bakery counter.

Upright floor cases (1,950mm): RMLG, RMLG-1. Three to four display levels; maximum display volume per square meter of floor space.

Countertop cases (750mm, on a counter): RMTSG. For kiosks and counters that already have surface space.

Open or self-service: RMCKS, RMSMZ. Freestanding, self-service retail formats.

2. Do staff serve from behind the case or from the customer side?

Rear-open (staff side): RMXK (curved), RMZJ (straight), RMLG (upright). The case sits against a wall; staff serve from behind.

Front-open (customer side): RMQKY (curved), RMQKZ (straight), RMLG-1 (upright), RMTSG (countertop). Staff serve from the customer side or the case is freestanding.

3. Curved or straight glass?

Curved glass (RMXK, RMQKY) gives a wider viewing angle and a premium silhouette at a higher price. Straight glass (RMZJ, RMQKZ) is more economical and lines up cleanly in multi-unit installations.

4. Staff service or self-service?

Closed cases (RMXK through RMTSG) are staff-served. Open-front (RMCKS) and self-service deli (RMSMZ) formats let customers pick products directly — the standard for supermarkets, canteens, and convenience retail.

Refrigerated vs. Ambient Display — What the Range Covers

All R&M display cases are refrigerated, holding the 2–10°C range (2–8°C on the GD-RC economy series). This is the standard temperature band for:

  • Cream cakes, mousse cakes, and cheesecakes
  • Fruit tarts and refrigerated desserts
  • Cream pastries — éclairs, cream puffs
  • Sandwiches, salads, and ready-to-eat food (RMSMZ)
  • Any chilled product that must stay within the food-safety range through the trading day

The range does not include ambient (non-refrigerated) cake display cases. If your requirement is ambient display — for bread, pastries without cream, or dry bakery goods — contact us to discuss the appropriate equipment.

Common Specification Across the Range

Brand compressor: Every model in the main range uses a brand compressor (imported brand on the open-front RMCKS and self-service RMSMZ series, where the cooling load is higher). The economy GD-RC series uses a Dongbei compressor to reach the budget price point.

Fan cooling: All models use fan-driven air circulation for even temperature distribution across the full display length.

Defogging: The glass-front models include defogging systems — electroplating film (RMXK, RMZJ), air duct (RMQKY, RMQKZ, RMLG-1), heating wire (RMLG), or roller fan (RMTSG) — to keep the display glass clear in humid shop conditions.

Copper condensers: The main range uses full copper-tube condensers; the open-format series use full copper-core condenser fans.

220V/50Hz: All models operate on standard commercial single-phase power.

Preguntas frecuentes

What is the difference between a bakery display case and a cake showcase?

They are the same category of equipment. “Bakery.html display case” and “cake showcase” both describe a glass-fronted display cabinet for bakery products — the terms are used interchangeably in the trade. R&M’s range covers both naming conventions.

What is the difference between refrigerated and non-refrigerated bakery display cases?

A refrigerated case holds a chilled temperature range (2–10°C in the R&M range) for products that must stay cold — cream cakes, mousses, prepared food. A non-refrigerated case displays ambient products — bread, dry pastries, cookies. R&M’s display range is refrigerated.

What is the best temperature for a cake display fridge?

2–8°C or 2–10°C are the standard commercial ranges for refrigerated cake display. R&M’s economy series holds 2–8°C; the main range holds 2–10°C. Either range keeps cream cakes, mousse cakes, and refrigerated desserts food-safe and stable through the trading day.

Do I need a water supply for these display cases?

No. All R&M display cases are air-cooled and require only a 220V power outlet. No water connection or drain is needed.

Can I order a custom size or color?

Contact us with your requirements. R&M supports OEM/ODM customization — logo, color, and configuration options are available on order. See the material options in our gallery — marble, oak, stainless steel, and custom colors.

What is the MOQ and lead time?

Contact us with your model selection, quantity, and destination. We will confirm MOQ, pricing, and lead time within one business day.
