On August 17, Rifeng (002953.SZ) announced plans to invest approximately RMB 700 million in a project to produce 300 tons of optical fiber preforms and 10 million fiber-km of optical fiber annually, extending its business footprint further upstream in the communications industry chain. The company also announced a capital increase of RMB 150 million for its wholly-owned subsidiary, Guangdong Rifeng New Materials, to support the construction of a high-standard industrial base. Rifeng reported operating revenue of RMB 4.518 billion in 2025, with communication equipment component business revenue reaching RMB 932 million, making it the company’s fastest-growing segment. As a professional cable manufacturer with an annual production capacity of 200,000 kilometers of cables, Hangzhou Hi Link Electronics Co., Ltd. relies directly on a stable supply of upstream optical fiber preforms and optical fibers. The expansion of upstream production capacity is expected to help secure raw material supply stability for downstream manufacturers.
